Tracy Hall, FAIC Brigham Young University Chemistry Department Provo, Utah 84601 Dear Dr. Hall: Welcome to Fellowship in The American Institute of Chemists, the only organization devoted to the professionalism of chemists and chemical engineers. Your Fellows include leaders who span the professional scene from industry to the Nobel Prize. We hope you will make every possible use of the Institute and its facilities. The Institute has an Initiation Fee of $10 which includes your Fellow's Certificate. Fellows dues are $20 a year. Our fiscal year begins May 1. The enclosed statements cover your Initiation Fee and dues. A subscription to THE CHEMIST which is included will begin shortly. The Institute has a program of Accreditation which gives AIC members tangible evidence that they are keeping up-to-date in their profession. Data must be submitted to the local Accreditation Committee showing that the member does, indeed, keep up-to-date. Accreditation is for a five year period; the fee is $5.00 a year (billed annually). You may obtain information about this program from my office. The Institute is striving to keep itself abreast of cf the needs of its members — and their interests — and your suggestions and ideas would be most welcome. _ . P.S. You will be billed sometime at the end of April for dues for the forthcoming fiscal year. PBS :ss encl. P(aul d . *Slawter, Jr Executive Secretary
